I think you misunderstood the post?, the left is all up in arms because it shows all whites even though that's historically accurate given practically all were white. The Links just proves it doesn't care about accuracy was the point ;)

I understood the post and again...who cares. ;) I don't care what either the left or right extremist think. To me they're ALL insane. I don't pay attention to people like this. If you do...you'll just end up being pissed off all the time.

Few months ago I got into a senseless debate with someone because I made a comment how I thought it was ridiculous how every other character in the Walking Dead is now gay. Now I don't care what peoples sexual preference is as long as they keep me out of it. I just think it's cheesy and unrealistic.

People are always going to complain one way or another. Bottom line is it looks like a great movie and I'm going to watch it.

On D Day 1944 there were White Brits, Canucks, Merkins in the initial landing there were entire battalions of Merkin black troops in support roles but as far as I am aware not front line at that time. There was of course the Tuskagee Airmen and the large numbers of blacks on US warships but most of the British forces were white. In North Africa and Italy we had Indian Sikh and Moslem troops of the Indian army, plus White Rhodesians, South Africans, Aussies and Kiwis plus free French and Poles some of the Free french dudes were black African troops. But in 1940 it was the BEF and French who were at Dunkirk and the BEF ( British Expeditionary Force) was at least 99.99% British and Irish all regular army troops ( no conscription troops). So its historically accurate to have it 99.99 % white in this movie. FYI my Grand father was one of those who escaped but not from Dunkirk he and his mates erm......... borrowed a small dutch fishing boat.

Dunkirk and Bladensburg two battles the UK and US would love to forget :)
Why you don't see many movies about the War of 1812. Washington D.C. sacked...White House and Captiol building burned...lots of bad memories in people minds. You Brits just basically got bored with the war and went home.

But the War of Independence had some inglorious moments too. Most of the victories by the Americans were in the South in both wars.

I am writing a historical novel about one of the unsung heros in the War of 1812...who happened to be a Choctaw Indian Chief...and Brigadier General under Andy Jackson. The "Savior of Mobile" as he was known to the residents of Mobile, Alabama.

I may just have to read that paisan. I enjoyed reading how President Madison had to borrow a horse to try and catch up with the defeated US Continental army in Virginia, unlike the TRULY GREAT and HONOURABLE American on that day the FIRST LADY Dolly Madison who refused to run from the 4000 Canucks and Brits who had defeated the US army in one hour. Dolly and her staff stood firm something we Brits greatly admired and respected.

A very courageous lady who saved many priceless documents and artifacts from the White House before the Brits arrived, read the Presidents mail stole his laundry, ate his food then set fire to the place. The war actually ended because the diplomats of both sides in Europe negotiated a ceasefire because they had no idea the Brits had rampaged so far.

FYI we only torched Washington because your guys had torched York in Canada when you invaded the place.
