We have no notable four legged predators over here so I could more than meet my own long term survival needs with good quality 22LR weapons and ammo. Ordinary ammo for pot filling / vermin control but would appreciate high velocity CCI blazer / Yellow Jacket type ammo for two legged vermin. Though I most ceetainly not object to being given a FN P90 full of 5.7 milspec ammo. :)
Rapid fire might be nice but I think well placed shots can be just as effective. Also there are alternatives to fire arms too. I am partial to bows, particularly crossbows. They can be quite deadly and have a good deterrent factor as well, I think.

We have 6 bows, 4 compound bows and 2 take down recurves, silent and deadly but we desperately need more practice.

if we want to go through all the licencing procedures and the homes visit, yes, I don't.
i'll stick to my air rifles...for hunting small game.
Going out after small game is what my grandfather used to do during the Great Depression of 1929. He had 4 kids at the time and was a coal miner. The company stores robbed you blind and mom remembered eating squirrel on many occasions.

23% of deaths this year in the U.S. will be due to heart attacks and strokes. I'm a lot more paranoid about that than I am any of the prepper scenarios. The nearest emergency room is four minutes away, and a world class hospital is about nine minutes away. Great healthcare is more likely to save my life and my wife's life than a stockpile of food. But yes, a person can have it both ways with some careful planning. Rice and beans, are cheap.
I stopped at a pawn shop and he had a dentist set. I said what. A dentist died and this guy went to his business at grabbed everything before it was thrown in a dumpster. I have enough lidocaine now to numb half of NY lol. Wow iam going to start downloading and printing dental procedures.

You are right, I am not thinking about all of that. I didn't think of that either. I just spent a grand on fuel. Thank You...
