I was wondering about something.

We all know (or should know) how dangerous lice, ticks, and fleas are...at least in the sense that they spread a lot of really nasty diseases.

Post SHTF, can dog and/or cat flea and tick shampoo be used for humans? Would the benefits outweigh the risks?

I'll contact my friend who's a vet-tech and ask.
she'll have the right answer.

my friend told me,it's not lethal, might cause some skin irritations for humans,so her advice is;careful and if,use it on some patch of your skin
you can observe, before you use it on the whole body..irritated skin in post-shtf can be a danger too.

Adding a tablespoon of white vinegar to dogs water bowl helps repel fleas from dogs. Not sure on lice and ticks. Dogs never had them, but we don't really have a problem with those here.

have to try that! not that we have issues here, only 4 ticks sofar..

I bathed the two outside dogs today. I got wetter than they did.... after they recovered from the scrubbing I doused them with a dose of advantage. They still haven the forgiven me... if I grab a hose they get scarce really quick! I may try the vinegar thing in the future. I really don't like putting poison on my buddies, but it does stop fleas and ticks.
