Good luck with the new relationship.

Glad that she seems to share your prepper ideals.

My girlfriend (we live together, and she's also an RN) doesn't buy into this prepping business in the way that I do.

She seems to believe that I border on becoming a hoarder. In fairness to her, we have a small place.

Let us know how things progress.

I hope you two end up happy together.
Well, hoarding does have a positive side. My grandfather had a small farm, if he needed something he did not go to town, he had what he needed to make it. One story he had picked up some gears laying in the dirt at the mine, he took them home and nailed them to the barn wall where they stayed for 40 years, then my uncle said he needed a gear for something and lo and behold there it was on the barn wall. 20 years after grandpa died. No need to throw something good away and keep what you have if it has a use, it could save your butt someday.

I was a giver but I think i'm a "couldn't care less-er" now:p
I guess it could be more distinguished as whether you are one who takes advantage of others or not and whether you have a conscious about it. I don't tend to give when I see someone wanting to take advantage of people's sympathies.

I'm one of those low maintenance women. Give me my kids, gardens and animals and I'm good.
It is best to be easily contented. I think a lot of country women are like that. As long as my 18 year old car works I am ok with that. Someone was here the other day and said they missed all the gadgets on their car. You don't miss it if you never had it.

Oh Robin. You make me sad sometimes, it's ok though. I just hope you have some joy in your life, gotta have just a bit.

But yeah, it's going to take some kind of woman to really be my partner. I think just east of crazy town is my best bet. And it would be nice, to have a real friend to grow old with.

Just have to see how it goes. If I drop off suddenly, assume I got stabbed with a screw driver, and knock one back in my honor.

Oh, and avenge me.
Well, just don't make anyone mad enough at you to do that to you, ok? We need you online.

how true, been there, had it done to me, got the t shirt.
Men and women both have their weak points. "Takers" use those weaknesses to their advantage. For a woman I'd say it was feeling loved and security, for men, food and sex? You find out what they want or need and make them think they are getting that. I don't have it in me to do that. I would feel too guilty, but I am thinking of how I can live in a future world and get by with it. Like how can I take advantage of a Liberally ran government(when the time comes) and use that to support Conservatives. Like if I can get food stamps but take the extra money that I don't spend on food and donate it to the NRA? Just silly stuff like that.

I agree, but my girlfriend (as an RN, she's very orderly and clean) says that empty space is just as important as stuff.

She sees loads of materiel as a breeding environment for silverfish, rodents, ants, and cockroaches...especially since we live in the tropics (south Florida).

When we watched First Blood once, she looked at me and said: "See? All he has is a hollow knife, and look at how he destroyed that town. If I buy you a Rambo knife, will you get rid of all that shit that's cluttering the house?"

I don't know how you can argue with that kind of logic...…...

Tell Her no problem, just as soon as you get into Rambo shape and have learned his skill set. All the extra stuff can go, after she gets you the Rambo Knife.

Leftie libertarian...

The more we hang out, the less left she seems, I think maybe she was talking up some of the other stuff. Some light virtue signalling to make a good impression I think. Then she realized I couldn't give a shit about that stuff, so it went away.

Anyway, she's a pretty free spirit.
We're going to go to her church this morning, it's in a ROUGH section of this rust belt Illinois town, so I'm curious to see what it's all about.
