I do know that seasons seem to be different since I was a kid, back then the changes of season were very apparent but these days it all seems to be the same no difference month to month.

For the past decade if not a little longer my growing seasons have become shorter and it sure as hell haven't been because of warming though last winter was a nightmare because of the lack of snow but this winter made up for the last 4 winters, lots of snow and lots of rain on the valley floor plus snow. Certainly a roller coaster from year to year!

Same here, although last winter wasn't that bad here. The snow pack at the ranch last year lasted till the end of April. This winter was more like a once every 50 year winter. Today we hit 40 degs and yesterday we had an inch of rain. One of our creeks is overflowing about 200 yards of road. It's kind of hard to tell where the road bed is right now, but the sun came out today so I'm happy. Typically every winter is going to be a little different.

climate change,I do not believe that it is man made,I think the Earth goes thru cycles, the ice caps have melted in the past it's happening now,,like I said it is just a cycle...................
No doubt that the earth goes thru cycles. There's also no doubt that polluting the air we breathe is stupid too.

heck no one said pollution was a good thing,,,,now pollution created by people is not good but one huge fire like they had years ago in Yellow Stone puts more crap in the air than humans do

Mother Nature has done some pretty harsh things throughout history, no doubt. I do think we as humans have grown to a point that we are impacting the planet too though. I also think that anything we do will be cleansed over time though. It's just the current time I'm a little concerned about.

as long as there are trees and I think there always will be the planet will cleanse itself,it just takes time

I do think that we are overpopulated as a species on the planet though. Just like a deer population, if you don't thin it out a little now and then, then it makes them all starve during lean seasons. We have been growing unchecked for so long now, it's setting us up for a bad situation. Long term, the planet will take care of itself. Short term, it's not always good for the species in question.

well we are overdue for a big hit,,,,,I hope I am out of the target zone

I'm still not sure why everyone dosent live in the south.

Yeah, "cold" here means it gets in the 40's once in a blue moon....

I'm not so sure we're "due" for another extinction level event in my lifetime, or even my kids, kids, kids, kids, etc.

If we look at the pattern, it's been getting exponentially LONGER between ELEs...(Extinction Level Events). Personally, I think this is due to the Earth getting exponentially less hostile to life....from the seas, to the land, etc. More oxygen, more food sources, etc. Early in Earth's history though, life was way more precarious, and thus much more prone to upsets.
