Hey bigpaul, just like being freshly divorced. Only the money problems after the fact. We are ready to start watching the rest of the EU'lers, see if they will get a taste of freedom from watching you guys. Everybody is and will being talking shit for a while, hoping to give a prediction and get famous. Lots will be saying, " I told you so"...
others will be saying to them back: "I told you so!" NO ONE, AGAIN; NO ONE knows the future, if it is a WW III, fires in Australia or Berlin, Virus in China or in Timbucktu. Funny, all of those people who make money telling fortunes and writing daily horoscopes...They know what is going to happen with me and you, but they never predict who will win the Lottery tomorrow...(and never win themselves either)!!!GP

As part of the exit deal, does it contain any agreement where Britain will continue to pay the EU for a period of time? Or maybe, there is some "behind the scenes" deal (handshake) where Britain will continue to support the EU for allowing them to leave?

This is something the liberal would do (and have done) in the US.

I think our government of idiots is going to give them £39 billion in leaving dues, I would give them sweet FA. AND Britain has paid over 18% of the costs of the European Galilao sat Nav system but the EU has kicked the UK out of it as we are not in the EU. I believe we will now build our own.

we are no longer members of the EU as of 11pm tonight-12 midnight Brussels time, we then go into a "Transition" period until 31st December whilst the UK and EU try to agree a trade deal. personally i'd have declared NO DEAL on 1st February and told the EU to go whistle.
it may still come to that as the EU are very intransient.

This is where Trump shines.... Previous administrations (especially Obammer) let everyone walk all over the US and agreed to almost everything just so they can say they negotiated the agreement, no matter how bad it was for they US. Trumps is now cancelling those deals and reworking the bringing jobs and keeping more money in the US. Hopefully the UK has someone like Trump to negotiate the trade deals. (Just keep that person far away from Twitter.)
