Yea getting there is a big problem, I'd think that trying to go north is my plan, up to the coast.

Hi Tyler, I don't know where "lost in the woods" is located, but north is the direction that most people will not take, mostly due to the climate, and the farther you go the more remote it becomes. I am personally as far north and east in Germany as I can go, and have a place on the Baltic Sea that is remote and isolated (thank God).

My plan A is to get to the coast, get a boat and hop over the the UK. I'm in western germany
I wish you luck in your choice of places. Do you read any of the papers out of the UK? (Internet) Those people have some "serious" problems that even makes living here look good.

My over all plan os to work my way back from here, to the UK, to iceland, to greenland, to canada :D
Hi Tyler, you have a good plan, I hope you are young enough to make it work. My "old bones" have made their last major move anywhere. I wish you success in what you attempt to do.

It is an interesting plan that will hopefully take me out of danger while allowing me to restock along the way (hopefully) plan B is to sit tight and plan C is to move away from my current location but not sure on where yet

Well Tyler, since I do not know your age, whether you are married or not, your finances, or your location it is hard to give an opinion. However I can recommend Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (far east or the Müritz region) as being a part of Germany that is not totally overrun by people. Western M-V is very populated, not much different that anywhere in west Germany, however the eastern part, and the Müritz region (I know there are a lot of oturists there) is mostly made up of "Dorfs" that are very small. In most of the Dorfs the people all have their own gardens and many have limited livestock, so trying to get your stuff would not be a high priority (in my opinion). Farther east, closer to the Poland border, the dorfs are few and far apart, and mostly there is "nothing" - meaning few stores of any size, and fewer "services". I would call Neubrandenburg as the "border" (east and west) where the population changes drastically. In many areas, a house, or land property can still be bought for less than the price of a used car. Ths Island Rügen is pretty wild, and the farther north you go the fewer dorfs. There are a lot of places to be "lost in the woods" up there. Usedom on the other hand is wall to wall people and very costly to live there. You just need to look around - while you have time, if your choice is to stay and make the best out of it.

here is one,I atleast like to think that Finland is a small part of europe :)

I'm prepping in Scotland/Midlothian, I don't plan to go far all I need is right here.....Depending on what tshtf is.

Most of my preps are already in boxes and the container leaves saturday. So I will be "naked" for a couple months. I still have my veggie garden and BOB. For the next 200 days im gonna focus on my knowledge.

Went to Chicago and Mich once, bloody windy and quite cold in the winter, reminded me of Sennelager and Dusseldorf from my army days. Mind you Kansas is still my most very favourite part of the United States, Those heartlanders are absolutely fabulous people.

Hi from The Netherlands here. Just joined this forum yesterday so I'm still looking around and getting a feel for things.

I'm wondering about some things. Since Europe is pretty unclear (at least I think so) on gun laws, what do you talk about and not talk about on this forum? I'm sure some European preppers have prepped things that are on the fringe for their respective countries. I can only assume talking about what and how on here would be unsafe but how unsafe is it really?
I'm not trying to start a discussion or debate about rules and regulations per country. And last thing I want to do is get anyone in trouble. I have some things prepped that are legal to have, but illegal to use. I realize this makes no sense but that's the way laws are in many of our European countries.
I'm hoping to make some future contributes to the 'alternatives to fire arms' topics but I have to be sure not to get anyone in trouble.
I'm pretty up to date with laws in The Netherlands but even though we are supposed to have 'one Europe' laws per country vary in a very significant way.
The Netherlands is moving fast towards a complete police state where even the mention of something they don't want you to have will land you in a world of trouble. So is there a way to discuss self defense weapons without getting into a heap of trouble?
