Hello I’m new here and there seems to be good info but it all seems to be from years back. I’m looking for other recommended prepper web sites that are more active currently.

Any suggestions welcome...

Hope someone reply’s to this in the next few months lol

I cant think of a single prepper site I would recomend . Most amount to the same old wich is best type arguments where nothing gets settled .

Active in what way? You can find new and old post here, even replying to an old post may bring the subject back to the forefront. No one sets and babysits the threads and post unless you 'watch thread' ;)

You can look here for activity; http://doomsdayprepperforums.com/index.php?find-new/3306132/posts

Often, posts may just be informational. If so, folks may read them, but not necessarily respond. If you ask a question, on the other hand....

I think it may be that a lot of your posts are on the topic of guns, and most of us here, while fond of them, use them, etc., don't get all chatty about them (you know OPSEC and all)....(i.e. Operational Security...keeping it on the down low, etc.)

A lot of us are rural too, so a gun is really just another tool. I don't practice near as much as I'd like to (because it costs so damn much for all the ammo I'd use).... But, enough to know I'll pretty much hit what I aim to shoot. That's really all I need.

as I see it,prepping is so much more that just guns anf gung-ho,learning new things like firts aid, growing your own food etc..
but do tell what you are looking for?

I agree with gazrock, there are a lot of different topics within prepping. Security isn’t even in my top three, which are water, food and shelter. I will admit though, guns are a lot of fun to play with....

I will be putting in a garden and getting a few chickens also but it’s january so I haven’t had many questions on that.

My post have been weapons and gear related because that’s what I have been working on the last few weeks and I’m the preps check in I have been reporting on my food and water stock.

I would like to see more on equipment field testing, I've touched on it taking new equipment out in the field and learning what worked and didn't and in the process learned my own limitation. I'm finding the older I get I need to retest my abilities (and often) with what I take into the field such the BOB and INCH bags.
