I saw this on TV and thought it a really cool idea.
the people used poly-vinal (see through) plastic, and put it up on 4 posts, about 6' high, then put a puddle of water in the center of the plastic. when the sun hit the water, it acted as a super magnifine glass, and got up to about 1000 degrees F. they were able to cook full meals in a pan using this method. the only downfall i could see to this, is they would only be able to use it at a spicific time of the day, depending on exactly where they placed it.
ive also seen this same trick, on the show Duel Survivors, where the guy peed into a clear bag, and used it as a magnifine glass to start a fire. but again that would depend on the sun, and how clear your pee/bag was.
