Country bar. er walks in & just starts shooting. Then kills himself. One sheriff also killed.

Just flipped on the TV, they said it's the worst shooting in... 12 days. Not months, not years, 12 days. (Pittsburgh)

I'll make some predictions:
* young shooter
* history of Ritalyn or some other mind-altering drug
* liberal

Ian David Long (doesn't sound middle-eastern). Fired a .45 semi-auto with an extended magazine. Just came in and started shooting, no words.

According to a witness, he had multiple magazines, and was fast in changing them.

Another witness described the use of smoke devices.

A lot of the details just aren't yet in any of the stories though.

This guy had mental health issues that weren't being addressed...mental health issues caused by combat in service to his country.

I predict that there will be evidence of subtle brain damage when the pathologists examine his body.

He was also a victim.

These things bother me about these mass murders:
1) The manic who did the mass shooting in Texas in 1969 (14 dead) had an undiagnosed brain tumor. He asked for help when he had symptoms, and was labeled a hypochondriac.
2) Cruz (17 dead in Florida) had mental health issues, and it turns out that his mother had several arrests for using crack cocaine throughout her pregnancy...and I believe that his brain was screwed up while he was in the womb.
3) O.J. Simpson (widely believed to have done the murders) played football, and suffered--literally--thousands of blows to the head.
4) Ottis Toole--a serial killer who murdered perhaps 60 children...including Adam Walsh--was repeatedly beaten and strangled while he was a child and growing up in an abusive family. He was believed to be functionally retarded, and had signs of brain damage.
5) Jeffrey Dahmer (a serial killer who murdered perhaps 17 young men) was in a bad car accident when he was a child, and suffered head injuries.

And so on.

I seem like I'm making excuses for horrible acts, but I'm not.

I do think that certian red flags call for a tighter examination (including MRI and CAT scans) of mental health patients, and that a lot of these things are organic issues.
