As the effects of climate change increase, so, too, will its effects on human health. “Heat waves [in America],” Dr. George Luber notes, “kill more people every year than all other extreme weather combined, more than flooding, more than hurricanes, more than tornadoes.”

Luber, who has researched subjects including heat stress in urban environments and harmful algal blooms, climate change will “increase the potential for the transmission of disease” as well as directly affect human health through an increase in severe weather events, including heat waves.

I think the govt. will use any excuse to grab more power. Look at all the past wars where young men were rallied into fighting for a cause that later seemed pointless. The terror threat is going to cause us to loose a lot of our rights. All in the name of protecting us. Obama has openly gone after guns, luckily the NRA is well connected. I feel that it's only a matter of time though before they find a way.
As far as global warming, I know we are changing the planet, and not for the better. We are pumping massive amounts of pollutants into the atmosphere nonstop 24/7. Most think all the smoke stacks and cars can't make a difference on something as big as our planet. I once saw a picture of the planet from space. It showed the atmosphere to scale, and it was an amazingly thin layer wrapped around this ball. It can handle a lot of abuse, but not the kind man is putting it through. I kind of like the analogy of you wouldn't piss in the pool your swimming in, so why would you pollute the air you breathe? I wish us all luck as sometimes I think the biggest threat to man is man.

I find it interesting that the libatards would sugest that climate change will increase the spread of disease while they are lining up another surge across our border bigger than the one that brought in such sickness last year .
