Just about everything coming out of Japan and Korea has got expensive lately, heck the price of new cars in general is just stupid. I think if I can ever get a new car it will have to be a budget Dacia Duster SUV, The base model brand new is only about £9K its only 4x2 but its got good ground clearance and traction control and its £3K cheaper than a smaller more dated design Suzuki Jimny.

We've gone with Indian on this side, half the price as other similar models and so far so good no problems.

not here either,'cause those would propably be cheeper that the rest and they couldn't collect enough car-tax .

My neighbour has one of the new Dacia Duster its not the base model its a better spec model but still only cost under £12K and its got selectable FWD.

you do see those dusters here more and more,so obviously you get alot for your money, though I would love to have a Land Rover or Merc.

You can get used but Servicable Landies over here from about £4K up but need need some TLC to function through a Finnish winter. Now the Geland at over £100K is insane.

last time I checked what the want for a brand new Merc jeep here the prize tag was around 160 000 euros..liiiiiitle bit to much for me.

Heck Mahindra not seen that make in the UK for some years, we used to get the Mahindra Jeep here but it was not a success.

most of my (daily) driving is done in country lanes(back country roads), one vehicle wide, a deep ditch and a granite wall either side, you have to get into a field gateway if you meet a vehicle coming the other way.
