I think someone was looking for metal jerry cans. Just an FYI that I saw them at Harbor Freight the other day....

Like a toy store for men, isn't it? Was funny though, my wife was with me, and even SHE was excited there, and looking at possibilities! Nice. Finishing that bunny project has her thinking of all kinds of possibilities.

So far, major projects in progress:

1. THE GARDEN - Should be ready to plant by end of month. A little late start, but still shooting for it.

2. MANCAVE - A lot of work and a bit of money to finalize, but we're getting started on the false wall, and leak repairs. Then we'll paint, do the floors, re-felt the pool table, and I have to build the bar. This one will take a few months. I'll have to get some before, during, and after pics.

3. ART STUDIO STALL CONVERSION - A lot of work, small bit of money. Will do some of this as I do the woodwork for the ManCave. Other than the floor, most other items to be made from spare wood/materials I already have. I really like to reuse when I can, like with the bunnies.

well,i now have a $25.00 gift card for home depot.i'll be going to one today,to see what they have in the way of brighter flashlights for outdoor use.on acount the one i've been useing.isn't bright enough to my liking...

They have some great new LED ones now. I need to get some that plug in and charge, so ready when needed.

the led rechargeables is my main interest.in which, its primary use (for now) will be mainly for outdoor use.i was in thier web site earlyer.and saw one like the looks of..so i'll be checking it out..

smiley-face-drool.gif i be a happy camper now.and yes i done tried it out,on the field behind my home.and it does a great job of lighting it up..

I haven't done anything this week! I'm in the middle of 11 straight days of work, and am essentially doing two jobs to boot. I did water the greenhouse anyways. Oh well, next weekend I have a three day weekend and hope to get some work done on the front porch. I still have a lot of interior trim to make and install, and a toungue and groove floor to put down. I'm counting this as a prep as the porch has made heating the house so much more effective with the wall of windows for sunlight and the wood stove.

feels like I haven't done much, just some re-org and some ammo for my mosin. this practicum at the ER takes it own.

that flashlight didnt work for me.it has 3 light settings.and their controlled by the power button..any how.i now have a in store credit for what i paid for it to begin with.so i'll wait n see what they have in the way of needs next time im there..

Been too cold here to do jack. Granted, just in the 40's and 30's, but we're just not used to that here in FL, hehe. I don't know why almost all horse people are crazy drama queens. I have ONE boarder who is just fine and normal, but she's been the ONLY one in all the years we've done this. My other two boarders are both insane, so spent the week dealing with their nonsense.

One, has ONE horse, yet tries to take up an entire tack room with all her gear (and wants her horse on a different schedule than the other horses). Horses are herd animals. They like to hang together, and when one is left out, while others are in, they get a bit miffed. She had us leave hers out in the cold rain the other day (against our suggestion), and man was he ticked. Kept running the fence the whole time. Poor thing. I won't do it again, no matter what she says.

Another has two horses, we cut her a deal, and she is STILL way behind on paying us, and it has only been a couple of months. Really? Not a good sign. If she's not making some good faith payments by first of next month, she's getting her notice. I'm sick of being the nice guy and getting taken advantage of.

We did do some INSIDE stuff though, mostly cleaning and organizing closets, finally moving the fire safe to a better, more accessible location, etc. (not that I have much to put in it these days...mostly just change for the register and important papers). Amazing how much junk one accumulates in closets. But at least only relevant stuff is there now, while junk is more in storage to either sell or throw out (or stored for holidays, etc.).

only real thing i've done so far today, that can be considered as a prep.if at all.i ordered another 100 gallons of propane while in town this morning..and they have diff items there for sale,as well as space gas heaters.one item is cast iron skillets in 4 or 5 diff sizes..i'll go there and have a look at them when i have the money..

My prepping for the next couple of days is learning a new skill. I'm gonna take my father-in-law's 13 ft. kayak out on the inland waterway near Port Salerno, Fl. and try to learn to catch saltwater fish. Well, maybe not 'really' a prepping skill, cause we don't 'really' have bodies of water were I live in Tx. But what the heck. I'll be home in a week and then it'll be back to the real deal of workin & preppin.

what you learn on that trip could be of value later on..especially what you learn in kayaking, fishing and water ways.might even take a bob or ghb with you,and use it,as if your actually having to use it,in a real case situation..

here's a couple of things im getting done today.the blue green and orange items are cleaning rages, that can double as wash clothes.in which im putting each one into the lil zip bags..and in the 2 totes went the knorr rice and pasta sides.. pinto and Lima beans went into the one on top..

Have been pretty busy the past few weeks. Reorganized the tools, revamped the lawn mower and the chain saw, built two new tables for the rabbit hutches and the list just keeps growing, but i like keeping busy.
