This is an interesting concept. I like it, but would prefer gold and silver backed notes or coins.

Doc, Brixton is British in name only, its more akin to crossing Havana with Lagos and Bagdad than the UK, it has one of the highest numbers who make living off welfare a career choice, I also believe its one of the 5 London boroughs where not only are whites a minority but English is a second language. Its also a hotbed of
1 Socialists
2 Anarchists
3 Islamists
4 Ethnic gangs

Whilst many true off gridders, smallholders, preppers etc have alternative currency / trade / barter systems designed for positive use in places like Brixton the alternative currencies are used to deal in narcotics, stolen goods, black marketeering etc. There have been a good few alternative "pounds" set up such as say Bristol pounds used only in Bristol but all fold due t dodgy dealings and fraud.

I think the Totnes £ is still going, last time I went there it was.
