if it's sturdy then some weight doesn't matter, you don't do sh... with something flimsy ;)
gonna check out cutter, thanks!

My pleasure.

I just scored a Kershaw Brawler from Academy on sale. I needed a new pocket folder to replace my Browning Folding Tanto, which has gone missing. Right away I can see that this one is bigger and has a flipper and spring assist, but the Browning was all steel as opposed to the "plastic" Kershaw handle. Haven't really put it to use yet, but it seems a comparable blade. I do hope the Browning turns up, I just really like that little guy for some reason. Here's a quick pic of the Kershaw Brawler:

Just got vacation and got some new knives. Went to Tennessee and made the wife stop at Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Severville. :D This is my wear while I'm out on the motorcycle. Got some others I will post later.

I just got one of these too. There junk. Blade is held on by a set screw in the guard. I don't expect this to hold up. I'm either going to put liquid steel in it or drill two holes for bolts. I should have realized it wasn't a full tang blade. What a waste of a stainless steel blade.

i had gotton one as well.but i knew the handle is hollow.and has a fishing kit and what all in it.i mainly have it for around the house carry.i dont remember who mentioned saying that they saw a shadow when in the restroom..thats when its good to have a long blade or hand gun in hand..

Most of these are duplicated for the vehicles and backpack, these here are in a trunk in my store room, hatchet and axe are in the truck

this one goes to Roninsensei ; as you know a "little about blades" ;) your thoughts about the colt bowie?? worth the money or...?

It's an OK bowie. It depends on the steel. There are several makes of the colt bowie. Let me know which and I can give an opinion. I can tell you that I wouldn't ever buy one personally but, I have had good friends purchase them. Some are happy and some were disappointed. So let me know.

I'll do,thanks...

in the add it says it's colt tactical bowie,8Cr14 steel,ok to me it's better than cast iron and sharp and it look nice..

8cr14 steel is a soft Chinese rip of AUS4 stainless steel. Unless this knife has gone through some serious hardening/tempering its not very tough nor will it hold an edge for long. Just my 2 cents..

this is what I like about, honest answers,no nonsense,thanks..made me a bit qurious 'cause of the prize...low by our standards..
