There was a potential case at Texas A&M and one at Baylor, I think. Fortunately neither turned out to actually be the coronavirus. Yesterday Dallas had a potential case as well, they are still waiting on test results. Way too close for comfort. This is the reason I keep respiratory masks handy, including in my car bag.
 
Even though I am promoting here not to panic over this as I think it’s less worrisome than the flu, I still sure as hell don’t want it and believe a mask is probably a good idea to have around if cases pop up in your local area. I think getting in the habit of not touching your face at all while out is probably better than a mask even, but both are pretty reasonable and smart to consider.

One thing to consider about water filters is to pre clean the water some. Most filters come with an average amount of water they will clean. Unfortunately they base those figures on clear water being filtered. Lots of creeks and ponds have muddy, dark or green water that will clog any filter prematurely. Simply using a bandanna or even folded tee shirt can dramatically reduce the sediment and prolong the life of filters.
 
Don't touch green or brown water. Triple filter if there is no other source and your life is in danger. Basic filter: cloth/rags/paper/sand. Medium filter: activated charcoal/ pearl/brita/bently or military grade. Final filter: Microbe/drinking straw/MMS/chlorine/ halazone/reverse osmosis...Diahhrea kills fast!! GP
 
I read that you can go three days without water. In reality it’s more like two as you are comprised from it in two. Guns are great and most preppers love them, but I would start with multiple water filters any day.
