Oh boy did they just step in it. The show is gonna go down now. If Carl is truly dead they’ve completely betrayed the comic book fans that watch the show. Some of you that don’t like the character or the actor are missing the point. The comics are written from Carl’s point of view being raised in the zombie apocalypse. They’ve just killed the one person that told the story. It’s like having no Bilbo or Frodo. It’s a huge error and one that may take down the series. Comic fans are already expressing that they are done with the show. I may be once I see them officially kill Carl.
The cast has grown too big and many have dulled out. Besides they haven't been consistent with comics. This was inevitable. If either Rick Grimes or Carol are killed off I'm done. Short of that...its open season.
Carol's are brass
Carol is the best character on the show hands down.
I agree. She started as a battered wife and now she is a leader.
When she was first interviewed at Alexandria and she's wearing the little housewife sweater set and saying just what she knows they want her to say, I was thinking, she is the smartest one there.
Her transformation as a character is nothing like any of the other characters. It's almost brilliant. She could probably be lead character if they set her up right. I think the show needs to go back to its roots how it was in earlier seasons.

I am not crying, but I really can’t believe it. There was talk of Michone leaving too. She is getting movie contracts. People are saying the walking dead doesn’t want to pay Carl for an adult salary now that his contract is ending as a child actor.
Its like watching 2 different show entwined together, one is good and the other is not.

Haven't seen it yet, but folks, we've been through this before.
Remember Glenn? We didn't know for more than an episode or so, whether or not he made it either. (and like most said, he's kind of the storyteller here, and the whole immunity bit)... That's a pretty big departure, and since the creator is an active part of the crew, hard to imagine happening.
We had a nice family day with our grown kids yesterday, so didn't watch it yet. Was nice having them and their roommate over (and making sure they ate some good home-cooked food).
