I've seen ads on T.V. (and found on the Internet) for ajustable eyeglasses where you can dial in your perscription and see fine.

I sometimes feel like products such as these are dangerous because they enable a person to skip eye exams (which can identify problems like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes), but how does everyone feel about including them in prepper storage?

They are about $20.00 per, and seem like a good emergency item.

What are your opinions pro and con before I sink money into several pairs?

They are available at Wal-mart and Amazon.

Any input (pro or con) would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I use reading glasses though the over the counter type and keep several in my preps, my eye doctor says that's all I need, he told me to save money and go to the pharmacy and pick up a pair. Never heard of the adjustable reading glasses?

I think it was Brent who mentioned about those here earlier,or was it Gaz?

I went out and bought the $20.00 adjustable emergency glasses.

Utter junk and completely useless.

The plastic fittings broke off in my hand, and when I did adjust them, everything was worse than not wearing glasses at all.
The world was wavy and blurry, there were halos around everything, and depth perception was way off. I certainly wouldn't want to shoot with them on.

I got a refund, so no harm-no foul, but don't waste your money.

WalMart has $37.00 perscription glasses, not including eye exam.

All my best.

Amaricas Best is a chain eyeglass business that has two pairs for 69.00 and that includes the eye exam. I get two pairs every year. The old ones are still usable for backups even if the script changed a little. I’ve got several backups built up now.
