Looks like a lot of expense and effort to grow veggies, but it goes to show that if your determined you can make anything happen.

More like if you have enough money, you can grow just about anything. . . I'll stick to the old school way. It's kept us feed for years and works for me and family. If I ever have some extra money laying around, it would be a thought cause I hate weeding!!

I don't know the name of it, but found a weeding tool at lowes that's a real back and time saver. It's kind of like a hoe, but has a triangle shaped blade on the end that cuts through the persistent buggars. Huge improvement over crawling around on the knees and pulling by hand, and does the job in a tenth of the time.

I have seen what you are talking about. . . A friend of mine bought me a tool for Christmas a few years ago that was a four stars on a stick that helped him out when weeding. I still haven't found it useful in my bubble world. Best thing I did was laid down old feed sacks in my walk ways. The beds themselves, I don't have many weeds so not a big deal weeding anymore thank goodness!

I've seen the star thing too and kind of wondered how it would work. I truly can't say enough good about the triangle blade thing though. It really is efficient, and you can even till with it some. My greenhouse does well with few weeds, but the outside garden grows some of the best grass around. It looks kind of like a pasture right now.

Yep! Had to google the name, but that's it. Thank you for putting a name to it.

I've had one of those for a long time, but I think it is a cheap knockoff. Not really big enough or heavy enough to do much good. I think the tines on a genuine garden weasel are longer.

"The town also relies heavily on expensive diesel power" Hope they have a backup generator, it won't take long to freeze the crop possibly killing most of the yield. Expensive with a lot of power to produce the crop, though nice and wish I had that kind of money.
